Privacy and Analytics
What I measure, how commercial links may work, and where automation or AI assists the site.
Google Analytics 4 runs only after you accept optional analytics. Rejecting does not limit the site. Use Cookie settings to change your choice; withdrawing consent stops collection and removes Analytics cookies. Reports count consenting visitors only.
The live counter in the header is separate from Google Analytics. It stores only a random browser identifier, recent activity timestamps and anonymous visit markers. It does not store an IP address. The private control center uses these markers for today, 7-day, 30-day and all-time unique visitor totals.
What gets measured
When analytics is active, the site can measure page views, sessions, referring pages, general device/browser information and clicks to external resources such as benchmark tools, Komplett, Proshop and Prisjakt.
The goal is to learn which guides people use, which buying questions deserve clearer answers, and which external links help readers continue their research.
- Page views show which guides are being read.
- Traffic sources show whether visitors arrive from Google, social links or direct visits.
- Outbound clicks show which retailer, benchmark and source links are useful.
Ads and affiliate links
This site may use display ads and affiliate links. Affiliate links can earn a commission if a reader buys through them, but recommendations should still explain the tradeoffs, model numbers, availability and value clearly.
Sponsored or affiliate links should use labels and link attributes such as rel=sponsored or nofollow where appropriate.
Automation and AI assistance
I use scripts to collect approved public feeds, refresh selected public data and build the static pages. AI may assist with research sorting, draft structure, editing and repetitive formatting. It is not treated as a factual source.
Every current claim should point back to an identifiable publisher, official document or clearly labelled community resource. A source-backed guide is not presented as a hands-on review unless the page shows what was personally tested or captured.
Ask NordPeek chatbot
The Ask NordPeek assistant is optional. Nothing is sent to an AI service until you submit a question. When you do, the question, the current NordPeek page and up to six recent messages from the open chat are sent through NordPeek's server to OpenRouter and a routed model provider so an answer can be generated.
The browser keeps conversation history only in memory for the open tab. NordPeek does not save question text or raw IP addresses. The server keeps aggregate daily request, token, cost and error totals, plus a one-way keyed network-address hash for short-term abuse prevention. Requests ask OpenRouter to use providers that do not collect prompts for training, but processing is still subject to OpenRouter's privacy policy and the selected provider's terms.
Do not enter passwords, API keys, personal data or other sensitive information. Answers are grounded in NordPeek's generated content catalog, can still be incomplete or wrong, and should be checked against the linked NordPeek pages and their original sources.
Historical visits
A static HTML site cannot recreate old visitor counts by itself. If analytics was not installed earlier, future analytics starts when the tracking code goes live. Historical clues may still exist in hosting logs, cPanel statistics, Cloudflare analytics or CDN logs if those services were active.
